2026 Caucus and Assembly

Exercise your right to choose those who represent you in government and the political process, and to influence the policy platforms of the Republican Party.
Participate in your county Republican Caucus and Assembly.

Our 2026 Archuleta County Republican Caucus was held March 7, 2026.
Here is a summary of the results:

The sole purposes of each Precinct Caucus were:
– to elect up to two (2) Precinct Committee Persons (PCPs) to represent each Precinct – in eight (8) precincts, a total of twelve (12) PCPs were elected at caucus;
– to elect Delegates to represent the Republican voters of that Precinct at the Archuleta County Republican Assembly – thirty-two (32) delegates and one (1) alternate delegate were elected at caucus;
– to propose and vote on Resolutions to be considered at the Archuleta County Republican Assembly – Five (5) resolutions were authored and passed at caucus;
– to compile a list of those who wish to apply to be election judges for the 2026 election – several people applied to be election judges at caucus;
– to hear from candidates for office who intend to access the primary ballot by Assembly – we heard from several candidates in person, by video, and by letter.


Our 2026 Archuleta County Republican Assembly will be held March 28, 2026.

Location: Ross Aragon Community Center, 451 Hot Springs Blvd, Pagosa Springs

Time: 1:00 PM; check-in begins 12:00 PM

Participants: Only Delegates elected at caucus may vote; alternates elected at caucus should attend as they may be promoted to delegate to replace delegates who cannot attend.
Guests are welcome to observe but may not vote.

PURPOSE

The principal purposes of this Assembly of county delegates shall be:

  • To ratify the election of precinct committee persons;
  • To ratify the vacancy committee as selected by the ACRCC Chair;
  • To designate Republican candidate(s) for elected offices of Archuleta County;
  • To elect delegates and alternates to relevant higher assemblies, including the House District 59 Assembly, the Congressional District 3 Assembly, and the Colorado State Republican Assembly; and
  • To consider and adopt such other rules and resolutions, and conduct all other business of the Republican Party, that may lawfully come before such an Assembly of delegates.
